Complaints Procedure
Last updated: 21 September 2026
We want to hear when something has fallen short. This page sets out how to raise a complaint, what happens next, and where to go if you remain unhappy.
How to complain
Please include your name, business name, contact details, what happened and what you would like us to do to put it right. It helps to attach any relevant correspondence.
- Email team@gdcapital.co.uk with "Complaint" in the subject line.
- Call 020 3051 9189 and ask to speak to a complaints handler.
- Write to the Complaints Manager, GD Capital Finance Limited, using the contact details supplied in your correspondence.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your complaint promptly, normally within three business days.
- A complaints handler who was not involved in the matter reviews the file and may contact you for further detail.
- We aim to send a full written response within four weeks. If the matter is complex we will write to explain why and give you a revised date, and in any event we aim to conclude within eight weeks.
- Our response explains our findings, the reasons for them and any action or redress we are offering.
If you are still unhappy
Ask us to review the outcome and a senior manager will look at it again. Business lending of the type described on this site is generally not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, so the Financial Ombudsman Service will not usually be able to consider a complaint about it. Some smaller businesses can refer complaints about a regulated activity or a regulated firm to the Financial Ombudsman Service at financial-ombudsman.org.uk or on 0800 023 4567, and we will tell you in our final response if that route is open to you.
Complaints about how we have handled personal data can be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. You may also take independent legal advice at any stage.
Our record
Every complaint is logged, reviewed by management and used to improve how we work, whether or not it is upheld.
